1) THE FIELD: The dimension shall be 55 yards wide (end zone to 45 yard line) by
75 yards long.
2) TIME: The duration of the game will consist of two equal halves of 25 minutes.
The clock will run continuously and will only be paused for injuries.
In the case of a tie: All games that conclude in an even score after two halves will
be scored as a tie for both teams until playoffs. During playoffs, the game will be
extended with two equal 5 minute halves. If overtime ends in another tie, 5 players
from both teams will shot penalty kicks. If another tie occurs, one team from each
team will proceed to take penalty kicks until a winner in declared. [Penalty kicks
should be taken 12 yards from the goal line.]
3) EQUIPMENT: No player shall wear anything that may be dangerous to another
player. Only molded cleats or turf shoes may be worn. Be sure that cleats are not
made of metal and that’s there in no toe spike. If a player is seen with illegal
equipment the player will be suspended. Jewelry is also not permitted.
4) GAME PLAY: A team consist of eight players [ 7 field players and 1 goalie ]. A
goalie must be declared with a jersey of a different color of both teams. Each team
must have at least Six players plus a goalie in order to begin a game.
5) SLIDE TACKLING: To ensure the safety of all players, slide tackling is not permitted.
At the discretion of the referee, penalties may range from a free-kick to a suspension.
No warning is necessary.
6) SUBSITUTIONS: A team may have any number of substitutes through out the
duration of the game. Substitutions may only be made during the following
stoppages of play: (a) a throw-in, (b) goal-kicks, (c) when a goal is scored,
(d) or when an injury occurs.
7) THE THROW-IN: A throw-in occurs when the entire ball crosses a side line.
The thrower must throw the ball with two hands, over and past his head, with
out spin, with both feet down when the ball is released (a player may drag his foot),
and behind the line. The thrower may not play the ball until another player touches it.
Offside rules do not apply for throw-in.
If a throw-in infraction occurs, the ball is turned over to the other team for a
throw-in in the same position.
8) TEAM JERSEYS: Each team is responsible for supplying their own team jerseys.
[Home = Dark, Away = White] Any team not wearing the proper color for said game
will result in a forfeit. It will benefit each team to check the intramural website before
each game or bring 2 different colored jerseys. If both teams show up wearing the
same color for example orange it will be the visiting teams responsibility to change their
jerseys or forfeit.
9) ELIGIBILITY: All intramural rules will be in effect. This means one person may
only participate on one team per sport per season. Members of the VARSITY and
J.V. soccer squads during the fall season MAY NOT PARTICIPATE.
10) LEAUGE STANDINGS: will be determined on a point basis:
[WIN = 3 points, TIE = 1 point, LOSS = 0 points.] In case of a tie in the standings,
the higher placed team will be determined in the following order by the following
system:
a) Goal differential (goals for, goals against) of games involving tied teams.
b) Goals against
c) Head-to-Head Records of tied teams
d) If the tie still has not been broken, it will be determined by a coin toss.
11) BLOOD POLICY: Because of the concern of blood borne pathogens in
Intramural sports, whenever a player incurs a wound which causes bleeding, the
officials must stop the game at the earliest possible time and make the player leave
the game until the bleeding is completely controlled and covered.
12) REPORTING SCORES: Winning team captains must report scores to the online
score reporting system within 24 hours of the scheduled game. Unreported scores will
be recorded as a loss for both teams.

The intramural participant is encouraged to consider his/her personal health and
physical condition prior to participation in intramural activities. Such participation
involves physical exertion, fundamental skills for that sport or activity, and may
involve contact. The participant, being aware of any conditions predisposing him/her
to injury or illness, and in consideration of the inherent physical exertion and possible
contact involved in intramural participation, may wish to seek the advice of a physician
prior to participation.
