Leslie DeLano became the head women’s lacrosse coach in 2003. 

DeLano has led the Engineers to a 48-64 (.429) record, while coaching 21 All-League and 36 Academic All-League players.  She guided the squad to an 8-6 record in 2010, including a 5-3 mark in the Liberty League.  The team made its first-ever appearance in the conference semifinals, falling to the National runner-up, Hamilton.  The Engineers were led by rookie Alissa Peterson, who garnered league Rookie of the Year honors after pacing the squad in goals, ground balls, free position tallies and caused turnovers.

Her 2009 squad went 8-7 overall and won the ECAC Upstate Tournament. In 2008, the Engineers finished 7-7.

DeLano coached the women's soccer team at Rensselaer for three season (2002-2004), leading the club to a 22-22-1 mark.

Before becoming the head coach, DeLano was the women’s lacrosse and field hockey intern. In addition, she served as the co-advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Rensselaer’s staff, she was a graduate assistant with the lacrosse team at Washington College in Chestertown, Md.

A 2000 graduate of William Smith College, Khachadourian was a two-sport standout for the Herons, having played for the nationally-ranked soccer and lacrosse teams. She was a three-year member of the soccer team as a goalkeeper.  In her sophomore season the team made it to the National Championship game.  Leslie captained the squad in her senior season.  In lacrosse, she was a three-year starting goalie, earning First Team All-American honors and the Division III Goalkeeper of the Year Award as a senior.

A dual major in psychology and American studies, Khachadourian, earned the Inez Tallet Morris-Richard William Morris, Sr., Scholarship. She was a Dean’s List student, a member of Hai Timai senior honor society and a National Verizon Academic All-American. In addition, she served on William Smith’s Student Government and she volunteered at the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of the Finger Lakes.
