Jennifer Adams began as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's cross country/indoor & outdoor track and field teams in 2009.  She specializes in working with the distance events during the track season.

In 2010, Adams helped coach one of the squads top distance runners in freshman Marie Ferro, who was the Liberty League Rookie of the Year in both cross country and outdoor track & field.  Ferro was also the NYSCTC Rookie of the Year after winning the 10,000m run at the State Meet.

She has been a part of a coaching staff that has garnered Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year honors in each of the last two seasons, including both indoor and outdoor in 2009 and 2010 for the men and the women.

Adams graduated in 2008 from Keene State College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications. In her senior year she earned a USATF Level 1Coaching Certification as part of a semester long internship.

As an Owl, Adams earned All-America status ten times; including being a part of the NCAA Division III National Championship winning Distance Medley Relay as a sophomore and winning the indoor 5000m National Championship as a senior. Adams was captain of both her cross country and track and field teams during her junior and senior years.

During her senior year, she was named LEC Runner of the Year for all three seasons, lead the nation both indoor and outdoor going into NCAA’s with the fastest time in the 5000m and was honored as Keene State College’s Female Athlete of the Year.

In 2007, after winning the New England Regional Cross Country meet, Adams was named New England Cross Country Runner of the Year and was New England Regional Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

Adams plans to pursue her Masters degree in Sports Psychology in January.
