TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer men’s hockey team is listed 18th in the nation, according to the latest Inside College Hockey.com Power Rankings. The website lists 20 teams on a weekly basis. This is the first time this season that RPI has been recognized.

TROY, N.Y. – Sophomore netminder Allen York recorded 17 saves and the Rensselaer men’s hockey team defeated Clarkson, 2-1, in front of 4,134 fans at the Houston Field House. With the win the Engineers improve to 15-12-3 (8-6-2 ECAC Hockey), while the Golden Knights fall to 5-20-3 (1-13-2 ECACH).

TROY, N.Y. – Senior Paul Kerins scored on a deflection from in front at 13:15 of the third period to give the Rensselaer men’s hockey team a 3-3 tie with St. Lawrence University in an ECAC Hockey contest at the Houston Field House. RPI (14-12-3; 7-6-2) drops to sixth place in the standings, while the Saints (14-9-5; 8-4-3) fall to fourth despite them each earning a point.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore netminder Allen York stopped all 22 shots he faced and Chase Polacek and Jerry D'Amigo both had a goal and two assists as the Rensselaer men's hockey team shut out #6 Yale, 4-0.  The Engineers, who also got a goal and an assist from Brandon Pirri, improve to 14-12-2.  The Bulldogs drop to 12-6-3.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – With the Bears enjoying a two-man advantage to start overtime, senior Aaron Volpatti (Revelstoke, BC) lifted the Brown men’s hockey team (7-12-1, 5-7-1) to a thrilling 4-3 victory over Rensselaer (13-12-2, 6-6-1) when he scored just 47 seconds into the extra period. The win is Brown’s first over RPI since the 2004-05 season, giving the Class of 2010 its first win over the Engineers.

TROY, N.Y. – Freshman Louis Leblanc jammed home the game-tying goal with 2.3 seconds remaining in regulation as the Harvard men’s hockey team came back from a 3-1, third period deficit to tie Rensselaer, 3-3. With the draw, the Engineers move to 13-11-2 overall and 6-5-1 in ECAC Hockey, while the Crimson are now 5-10-3 (5-5-3 ECACH).
