TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men’s and women’s track & field wrapped up action at this year’s ECAC Outdoor Championships and several student-athletes had outstanding efforts on the final day of competition, led by a third-place finish in the Decathlon by sophomore Alex Morin.

The men’s squad posted 33.50 points, good for eighth of 48 competing teams. RPI’s women were 15th overall with 19.50 points in a field of 51 teams.

Morin (Mendon, MA/Nipmuc Regional), who finished fourth or better through the first five events of the Decathlon on day one, recorded three top-five finishes in the final 10 events to post a combined 5,816 points.
