Hite, a forward out of Dorchester, Mass., averaged a double-double of 13.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in 86 career games for the Engineers. He led the team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots for three years and was also in the top three in field goal percentage over three years – leading the team as a senior. He ranked fifth in school history in career points (1,180) upon graduation.
Hite helped Rensselaer advance to the conference playoffs twice and an ECAC Upstate New York Tournament berth in his final season. He earned All-League honors twice and was named All-Region and All-ECAC as a senior, when he averaged a career-best 17.4 points and 11.1 rebounds. He also had 58 assists, 23 steals and 15 blocks. Hite, who attended Wayland High School, graduated with a civil engineering degree.
