TROY, N.Y. – Saturday night’s Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men’s hockey game against Miami University will be broadcast live locally on Time Warner Cable. The telecast of the game, which pits the #16-ranked Engineers and the #2-ranked RedHawks, begins at 7pm on channel 3.
The game, a non-league affair to be played at the Houston Field House in Troy, will also be shown live on ONN across Ohio. ONN is available on analog and digital cable systems across Ohio including Time Warner, Insight, WOW! and other major systems. Additionally, the game will be shown on a tape delayed basis on Time Warner Cable in Syracuse and Rochester.
Former New Jersey Devils and Albany River Rats radio announcer John Hennessy handles the play-by-play duties. Kevin Broad, a four-year letter winner and captain of Rensselaer’s men’s hockey team, provides the color commentary. Broad is a 2007 graduate of RPI.
Saturday is the first of five Engineers home games that will be shown. The others are January 11 vs. Cornell, January 19 vs. Union, February 1 vs. Quinnipiac and February 2 vs. Princeton in the 31st Annual Big Red Freakout! All telecasts begin at 7pm.
