TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's hockey game on Sunday, December 14, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, will be broadcast live on ESPNU, it has been announced. To accommodate the television broadcast, the game time has been moved up 30 minutes to 4:35pm.
This is the first time RPI will appear on ESPNU, which can be seen locally on Time Warner Cable's digital package as well as on DIRECTV and DISH Network. Ben Holden will handle the play-by-play and Sean Ritchlin the color commentary.
Rensselaer travels to nationally-ranked Miami for two games next weekend following ECAC Hockey road games this Friday and Saturday. The Engineers face the #4 RedHawks in a pair of non-league games next Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's game begins at 7:05pm. It will be televised in Ohio on ONN.
In addition to airing on ESPNU, the December 14 game will also be broadcast live on the radio on WRPI, 91.5 FM, and the Internet on www.wrpi.org. In fact, all Rensselaer men's hockey games – home and away – are broadcast live on WRPI and wrpi.org.
