TROY, N.Y. – Junior Jay Clark made 39 saves and Army scored two third period goals to come-from-behind and defeat Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 2-1, in a Division I men's hockey game at the Houston Field House.

The Black Knights improve to 1-4-2 on the season, while the Engineers fall to 4-3-1. RPI saw its' 3-game winning streak and 4-game unbeaten streak come to an end.

Offensively for Army, junior Cody Omilusik (Traverse City, MI/Sante Fe RoadRunners) and Owen Meyer (Dundee, IL/M.V. Phantoms) both had a goal and an assist.
Junior Chase Polacek (Edina, MN/Academy of Holy Angels) put RPI in front when his wrist shot from the slot tipped off the goalie's glove and into the back of the net at 5:52 of the first period. Senior Paul Kerins (Weston, ON/North York Rangers) had the primary assist and sophomore Justin Smith (Hammonds Plains, NS/Langley Chiefs) the second helper on the goal, which was a power play marker. For Polacek and Kerins, the goal and assist were their third of the weekend, respectively.

Army tied the goal early in the third period when Omilusik knocked in a puck that was loose in the crease. Eric Sefchik (Brooklyn, OH/Cronwall Colts) and Meyer (Dundee, IL/M.V. Phantoms) had the assists on the goal, the fourth of the season for Omilusik.

Meyer gave the Black Knights the lead at the 7:26 mark when he followed up a Omilusik shot and stuffed in the puck at the right post. Marcel Alvarez (Cleveland, OH/Brockville Braves) also had an assist on the goal, which came with Army on the power play.

Freshman Bryce Merriam (Bethel Park, PA/Topeka Road Runners) made 14 saves in the loss for the Engineers.
