TROY, N.Y. – Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Josh Secora has been selected to play in the prestigious United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North-South Senior All-Star Game. A midfielder, Secora will play for the North team in the game, which will take place on Friday, May 22, at Harvard Stadium on the campus of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.

A senior from Evergreen, Colo., Secora led the team in points with 26 on 20 goals and six assists in eight games. He had two game-winning goals, one on the man-up and 11 ground balls pick-ups to his credit. For his efforts, Secora, who scored the 100th point of his career in 2009, was selected to the All-Liberty League Second Team.

The Golden High School graduate, who was a captain, ranked in the top 10 in the Liberty League in several categories. He was fourth in goals per game (2.50) and fifth in points per contest (3.25). Secora, who recently graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering, also had two or more goals in seven of the eight games he appeared in and was named the Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week once.

As a junior, he had 19 goals and eight assists in 14 games. He ranked second in the Liberty League in man-up tallies, posting eight on the season and was named to the All-Liberty League Second Team.

During his sophomore campaign, Secora posted 24 points on 18 goals and six assists through 15 games. He also led the team in shots with 90. In his rookie season, Secora was third on the team in scoring with 26 points and was an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention selection.

Secora finished his Rensselaer career playing in 53 games, scoring 77 goals and assisting on 26 more for 103 points.
