TROY, N.Y. - Four former student-athletes from the 1985 NCAA Championship Team were panelists – and many others were in the audience – at the Houston Field House to reminisce about the men's hockey team's run to the title 25 years ago. On the panel were Mike Sadeghpour, George Servinis, Ken Hammond and Mike Dark. Among those in the crowd were Daren Puppa and head coach Mike Addesa.
The 'Legends of '85' program, which featured tales of the second national championship in school history, was part of the men's hockey alumni weekend. The program featured video footage and discussion of the path leading to the title. The first 75 fans in attendance received a DVD of the 1985 NCAA Championship game – a 2-1 victory over Providence College.
During Saturday night's game there was a raffle of replica 1985 jerseys for fans to win. Following a video presentation during the first intermission, the members of the 1985 National Championship team in attendance were introduced to a rousing ovation.
Following the game the members of the 1985 team participated in a meet-and-greet and autograph session with the fans.
