TROY, N.Y. - Due to heavy rain and a forecast that calls for additional precipitation, the 18th Annual RPI Men's Hockey Alumni & Community Golf Outing has been postponed.  The new date of the event, which will remain at Shaker Ridge Country Club, is Monday, September 26.  The day's schedule will remain as originally planned.

The RPI men's hockey staff apologies for any inconvenience this causes and appreciates your understanding.  Any questions can be directed to Kevin Anderson, director of hockey operations, at anderk8@rpi.edu. 

All those interested in playing, getting to know the coaching staff or otherwise supporting the program are encouraged to sign up via the registration form linked above. 

RPI begins its season with an exhibition game on Saturday, October 1, against Acadia at the Houston Field House (7pm).  The regular season starts six days later when Minnesota State comes to Troy for a two-game weekend set.  Both Friday's and Saturday's games start at 7pm.

The Engineers return 18 student-athletes from the 2010-11 season, including 11 forwards and five defensemen.  RPI posted a 20-13-5 record last season.  It earned a national ranking for most of the season and played in the NCAA Tournament.  The team recorded back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in nearly 10 years (2000-01 & 2001-02) and ranked in the top-15 in the country in numerous categories.
