OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
The track & field squads hosted the 2012 ECAC Championships last week and a number of student-athletes had solid results. Sophomore
Sean Quinn (Brookline, NH) led the way, finishing fifth in the 10,000m-run with a time of 31:35.47. That mark was not only a personal-best for Quinn, but also a new school record - eclipsing the previous mark set back in 1984. As a team, the men's squad finished 10th of 63 teams, while the women's side posted 35th of 55 teams.
The season continues on Friday for sophomore
Stephen Silber (Blossvale, NY), who was selected to participate in the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships, hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Burns Stadium in Claremont, Calif. Silber will compete in the high jump, which gets underway at 5:45pm on Friday. More information for this year's meet can be found at http://www.ncaa.com/championships/trackfield-outdoor-men/d3.
