Rensselaer Athletics Hall of Fame
TROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Athletics Hall of Fame Selection Committee has chosen six individuals for induction into Rensselaer's Athletics Hall of Fame. The Class of 2013 consists of Patrick Fell '05 (swimming), Paul Louderback '99 (baseball), Jimmy Motzkin '06 (football / track & field), Dan Quinn '05 (baseball), Rosina Schiff '06 (ice hockey) and Tom Schneider '06 (basketball).
"We are excited about this incoming class," said Director of Athletics
Jim Knowlton. "They are incredible representatives of our scholar-athletes and have proven with their performance on and off the field that they are deserving of this honor."
Among the highlights from this prestigious class are a three-time National CoSIDA Academic All-America in Fell (Waverly, NY); an NCAA record setting reliever in Louderback (Newton, MA); a two-time National All-American in the javelin in Motzkin (Lynnfield, MA); the school's all-time leader in home runs in Quinn (Albany, NY); the national leader in save percentage in Schiff (St. Louis, MO); and a former Liberty League Player of the Year in Schneider (Nashua, NH).
Each former student-athlete will be inducted at Rensselaer's Annual Hall of Fame Banquet, which will be held during Reunion & Homecoming Weekend on October 3-6.
