2014-15 ScheduleTROY, N.Y. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's ice hockey schedule for the 2014-15 season has been finalized. The Engineers will play 35 games, including 20 at the Houston Field House. Highlighting this year's schedule are six games against 2014 NCAA Tournament teams, including two against Clarkson University, the defending National Champions.

John Burke, who enters his 12th season at the helm of the Engineers. "There is strong competition in both the non-conference and conference schedules, including multiple NCAA Tournament teams and a national champion."
RPI kicks off the season at the Field House with an exhibition game against the Ottawa Jr. Senators on September 26. The Engineers then travel to Minnesota to open the regular season with games at North Dakota and Bemidji State on October 3 and 4, respectively. RPI returns home for its home opener against Vermont on Homecoming Reunion Saturday (Oct. 11), before visiting the Catamounts the following day. They Engineers stay in Hockey East the following weekend, traveling to New Hampshire for a single game on October 17.
Rensselaer hosts a pair of non-league contests against UConn on October 25 and 26, before beginning their ECAC Hockey schedule on the road against Harvard and Dartmouth on October 31 and November 1. The Engineers then welcome St. Cloud State to the Houston Field House for a two-game non-conference series on November 7 and 8.
The Engineers return to ECAC Hockey play on November 14 and 15, when they visit Quinnipiac and Princeton, respectively, before returning home for a nine-game homestand, which spans a total of 43 days.
Beginning with a two-game series against RIT on November 28 and 29, Rensselaer will then host league foes Brown and Yale on December 5 and 6, respectively, before a 27-day layoff.
RPI concludes the longest homestand of the season with five straight at the Houston Field House to open 2014. Princeton and Quinnipiac come to town on January 2 and 3, respectively, before non-league foe Providence travels to Troy for a single contest on Tuesday, January 6. The home stretch finishes with games against Dartmouth and Harvard on January 9 and 10.
The Engineers then hit the road for three straight, including its annual North Country trip on January 16 and 17. RPI visits St. Lawrence before facing 2014 National Champions Clarkson for the first time. Returning the Capital Region the following weekend, RPI visits area-rival Union on January 23, before hosting the Dutchwomen the following afternoon.
RPI will alternate away and home weekends for its final eight league contests, beginning with games at Colgate and Cornell on January 30 and 31. It then hosts Clarkson and St. Lawrence on February 6 and 7. The two games will coincide with Alumnae Weekend.
The Engineers play their final two regular season road games on February 13 and 14 at Yale and Brown, respectively, before closing out their regular season at home against Cornell and Colgate on February 20 and 21. The match-up with the Raiders will be Senior Day at the Houston Field House.
Rensselaer posted a 10-20-3 overall record in 2013-14 with an 6-14-2 ECAC Hockey mark.
