RPI Athletics on TwitterTROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's hockey team placed 20 student-athletes on the 2014-15 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team, leading the 12-school league. Rensselaer led the way, followed by Yale University (19) and Harvard University and Quinnipiac University (18 each).
Among Rensselaer's honorees was senior goaltender
Kelly O'Brien (Sussex, WI / Madison Capitals), who was selected to the Commissioner's List. The Commissioner's List is made up of the top scholars from each institution.
O'Brien is among seven engineering majors from RPI, while other disciplines include biology, business and management, psychology, science and sustainability studies. O'Brien and classmates

Kathryn Schilter (Aurora, ONT / Toronto Jr. Aeros) and
Ali Svoboda (Arlington Heights, IL / Chicago Mission) were all recognized for the fourth time.
Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.
