CASTLETON, Vt. - Freshman Sara Rothschild (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Rensselaer women's soccer team past Castleton State, 2-0, in non-conference action at Spartan Stadium. With the victory, the Engineers open the season at 1-0 for the fourth straight year, while the Spartans begin their 2010 campaign at 0-1.

TROY, N.Y. – Rensselaer head women’s soccer coach Cord Farmer has announced the team’s Class of 2014. The group is made up of 11 student-athletes, who hail from five different states and the province of British Columbia in Canada. The Engineers open their home season on September 5 when they host Wellesley in a non-league game in the East Campus Stadium. Kick-off is set for noon.
