Women's Soccer Comes Back to Defeat Bard, 3-2
Three second half goals propel Engineers

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Rensselaer scored three second half goals, including two within a minute of each other, to erase a two-goal deficit and the Engineers defeated Bard College, 3-2, in a non-league contest.  With the win RPI improves to 3-1.  Bard falls to 3-1.

Trailing 2-0 just 30 minutes into the game, RPI mounted its comeback early in the second half when freshman Kelsey Byrne (Rye, NH/Portsmouth) scored unassisted in the 49th minute.  Rensselaer tied the game on an own goal at 59:39 and senior Jessica Batty (Lexington, MA/Lexington) put the visitors ahead just 56 seconds later.  Freshman Nikki Goodsell (Danbury, CT/Danbury) assisted on the goal, Batty's first of the season.

Freshman Melissa Pinsonneault (Hudson, NH / Bishop Guertin) earned her first career win by stopping all three shots she faced in 44:52 of relief. 

Lena James stopped 13 shots for Bard, which got goals from two different players.
