Mission Statement

The mission of the RPI Strength and Conditioning Program is to provide first-rate coaching support for the RPI Athletics Department and community in the areas of health, fitness, nutrition, injury reduction, and sport performance. Our goal is to improve the training experience through encouragement, education, and empowerment.
 
Through proper program design, progression, exercise selection, coaching, and supervision, we will…
     - reduce injury risk during the training process, sport preparation, and competition.
     - work to give the student-athlete the best possible chance to achieve athletic success and reach their individual and team  
       potential.
     - improve team unity by creating a positive, cooperative, and challenging environment.
     - provide individuals with the tools to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
 
Through planning, budgeting, research, and communication, we will…
     - educate the RPI community about the latest advancements in nutrition, recovery, tissue health, and sleep to maximize
       training effects.
     - work to provide the most up-to-date, scientifically based training protocols and techniques to the RPI community.
     - provide first rate facilities and equipment.
     - cooperate with multiple departments for a holistic approach to the betterment of the student-athletes and RPI community.
