Hiring Coordinator positions. These are salary positions and require time and responsibility. Please Call Joseph Campo, the Assistant Director of Intramurals at campoj@rpi.edu or 518-276-6556 for more details on avaliable positions.
 
 
You do not need work-study for these positions. We can train you as a ref for any sport you do not need prior certifications or experience at being a ref. We also need time and score keepers. 

We are looking for Supervisors and Referees for the fall and spring intramural season. If you can work a few hours Sunday through Thursday, then we are looking for you!

WANTED FOR FALL 2006/Spring 2007:

Supervisors

Job duties include:

  1. Arrive prior to the start of the contest to ensure that the lights are on at the playing facility and the playing surface is safe for participants
  2. Submit a Supervisors Report Form detailing specifics about the facility, game, forfeits, referees, scores, etc.
  3. Note if referees are at each contest                                                         
  4. Note if time/score keepers are at each game                                             
  5. Responsible for sign in sheet  
  6. Check with the referees after the game to see if there were any ejections
  7. Accept any protests dealing with any illegal players or rule violations
  8. Note if games are being played properly and in a timely fashion
  9. Handle all injuries and accidents by tending to the injured and calling Public Safety for additional assistance
  10. Deal with Intramural & School Rule Violations, such as alcohol on the field premises and violence. If you cannot resolve the dispute, contact Public Safety
  11. After each contest, perform another facility check. Make sure the field is not damaged & collect and dispose of any garbage on or around the field

Referee (Positions available for Any Sport)

Job duties include:

  1. Arrive prior to the start of the contest to ensure that the teams are ready to play
  2. Submit a Referee Score Card detailing specifics about the facility, contest, forfeits, penalties, other referee(s), scores, etc.
  3. If a supervisor is not present, accept any protests dealing with any illegal players or rule violations
  4. Ensure games are being played properly and in a timely fashion.
  5. Handle all injuries and accidents by tending to the injured and calling Public Safety for additional assistance
  6. Deal with Intramural & School Rule Violations, such as alcohol on the field premises and violence. If you cannot resolve the dispute, contact Public Safety

Time/Score Keeper (Positions available for All Sports)

Job duties include:

  1. Arrive prior to the start of the contest to ensure that the teams are ready to play
  2. Collect Student ID Cards                                                                        
  3. Check ID Cards against Team Roster                                                                                 
  4. Inform Supervisor of any Discrepancies in the Roster vs ID Cards taken                                                         
  5. Keep Time (dependant on sport) 
  6. Keep Score  (dependant on sport) 
  7. If there is no supervisor present inform and enforce the rule that anyone without a proper RPI ID cannot play NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
